She was unwanted when her owners broke up and neither were able to take their girl with them.

All our rescued male guinea pigs are neutered,  when old enough, to reduce the large number of unwanted guinea pigs and to ensure that no guinea for re-homing can breed, 

In the case of female guineas, where they may not be strong enough to have the operation, we rely upon the new owner to be responsible.
