Through an accident with a Hawthorne bush poor Peanut lost an eye. His elderly owner found she could no longer care for Peanut and her family suggested that he should be put to sleep. There is plenty of life yet for this 13-year-old boy. His
permanent home is a shelter and field at St Mary Hoo, which he happily
shares with eight Care for Life Shetland ponies Peanut
is in the Anim-Motes Care for Life scheme and will be spending the rest
of his life with us - we hope he has a happy and carefree one.
