Phoebe

Phoebe is a white Persian cat who was found abandoned at the back of a shop in Biggin Hill, Kent. When she arrived at her fosterers’ home, Phoebe was in an awful state, both physically and mentally, and she was a little aggressive.

Phoebe is now very frail and old, probably about 15 years. She walks very slowly and steadily and is slightly deaf. She loves a fuss and has a favourite place in her fosterers’ home, by a radiator where she has her own special bed. She has a wetting problem and sprays anything in sight.

Phoebe is a real fighter. Early in 2007 she had a virus that made her very weak and dehydrated. She was on a drip in the vets for a while and we decided she would be happier at her fosterer’s home where she would recover in her own surroundings, where she did just that.

She is still thin and frail but eats like a horse and is very happy. She loves anybody’s lap and as she does not jump well she clings onto any pair of human legs whether covered or bare and pulls herself up!

Phoebe is in the Anim-Mates Care for Life scheme and will be spending the rest of her life with us
